THINK THAT’S HARDCORE?
Ever wondered why you’re training EVERYDAY – Yet see no change in the mirror or from the clothes you wear?
Clients come to us with this common problem. They commit to the gym virtually everyday despite looking the exact same.
How the heck does that work?!?
You’re bustin’ your ass off in the gym everyday only to get zero gains?
So here’s the PROBLEM –
Training 7 days per week, does NOT correlate with HARD WORK or RESULTS. In-fact it’s most likely the opposite.
It is virtually impossible to train HARD with complete focus and intensity 7 days a week.
If you are truly training HARD you only need to be training at 4 times a week with weights at MOST.
So WHY do people train EVERYDAY and worst of all still look the same:
1. They have a low perception of what ‘HARD WORK’ really is and their muscles have well and truly adapted to the current stimulus they’re doing
which means no change occurs.
2. (The most common problem I hear as a trainer)
They fail to schedule in rest days because they struggled to maintain their healthy eating over the weekend which resulted in GUILT
which forced them into adding extra sessions to make up for their late night binge on a whole pizza with a tub of connoisseur cookies n’ creme ice-cream.
The Solution to fixing this is simple….
>> Train Smarter (Rest/reduce your training frequencies)
>> Train Harder (give your body a certain stress it’s not used to)
>> Stay Accountable with your diet by tracking calories and macronutrients using MyFitnessPal
Still don’t believe me??? Check out the guy above.
Dorian Yates …. A 6 x Mr Olympia who trained for a total of 4 sessions a week which only went for 45 minutes a session
Just let that sink in………
If you need help in re-adjusting your current training program, I’d love to talk to you.
